Hi, I am Jenne Rebecca and I’m a Christian neurodivergent visual artist located in Corning, New York. I am a Mixed Media painter, combining various media together, but I also create pieces using solely oil, acrylic, or watercolor paint.

Professional Background

I have been creating artwork since childhood, when I would spend hours drawing the worlds of ants underground, complete with kitchens, bedrooms, and even churches and schools for the ant children. Encouraged by my mother, also an artist, I pursued glass lampworking as a teenager, after receiving a beadmaking kit as a gift.

In college, I realized my passion for creating art and decided to rethink my plans to become a computer engineer to focus on art. In 2003, I received my Associate in Art degree in Wilmington, NC. I continued my art studies through courses and workshops by artists whose work I admire and skills I wanted to learn.

In 2008, I came back to bead making on a professional level, selling my pieces through my business ‘Melt With Me Creations’ from 2008 until 2018. I sold through a variety of venues in central Virginia, artist markets, galleries, and local stores. I was a writer for the lampworking e-zine Soda Lime Times during it’s first year of publication, providing articles and photographs about various tutorials available to other artists.

In 2019, my family relocated to New York. Early 2020 found us in Corning, NY, home to the well known Corning Museum of Glass. However, prior to relocating, I had sold my entire hot glass studio and all of my glass. I still had my painting supplies from my college days and dove back in wholeheartedly.

In early 2021, I began working with acrylic paint, which led me to delving into the wonderful world of mixed media painting. I found mixed media capable of expressing more than I had been able to coax from oil painting.
